KINGS OF THRACE. Lysimachos, 305-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 30 mm, 16.54 g, 1 h), Byzantion, circa 265-260. Diademed head of Alexander the Great to right with horn of Ammon over his ear. Rev. [ΒΑ]ΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ Athena seated left, holding Nike, crowning the king's name, in her right hand and leaning with her left arm on shield; behind, transverse spear. HGC 3.2, 1393. Mektepini -. Müller -. Tauler & Fau 60 (2020), 35 (same dies). Very rare. Attractive iridescent toning. The reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, extremely fine.
